Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s engagement flowers: what the reported $38,000 estimate means

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced their engagement on 26 August 2025 in photographs taken amid an elaborate floral setting. Florist Ashley Greer, who was commenting as an outside expert rather than claiming to have designed the installation, estimated that recreating a display of that scale could cost about US$38,000 and involve thousands of flowers.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s engagement flowers: what the reported $38,000 estimate means

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post on 26 August 2025. The published photographs showed the couple surrounded by an elaborate garden-style floral setting.

Ashley Greer, founder of Atelier Ashley Flowers in Washington, D.C., commented on the photographs as an independent floral expert. Greer, whose previous work included White House Christmas decorations during the Obama administration, estimated that an installation of this apparent scale could cost up to US$38,000. She was not identified as the designer of the couple’s display, and the estimate was not a confirmed invoice.

An ‘enchanted garden’ interpreted from the photographs

Greer described the scene as an ‘enchanted garden’and interpreted its visual language as a possible reference to imagery associated with Swift’s songs. Based on the photographs, she estimated that a comparable design might include:

  • willow, ivy and rosesas prominent elements

  • about 800 lb of foliage;

  • more than 1,200 roses and at least 1,000 additional flowers , including anemones, lilies, hydrangeas and delphiniums.

The setting appeared to centre on a roughly 20-foot domed arbour, a metal structure covered with vines of southern smilax, moss, garden roses, lilies and interspersed candles. Greer said that a structure of this kind might cost US$18,000–US$30,000depending on its complexity and location. These quantities and prices remain expert estimates derived from published photographs, not confirmed production records.
