IFTF 2025 — where the flower industry’s pulse is strongest

IFTF 2025 gathers in Vijfhuizen, the Netherlands, more than 300 exhibitors from the flower industry, presenting the latest varieties, technologies and flower trends. The event is a reference point for any florist who wants to be inspired, make connections and see how dynamic and innovative the industry is internationally. Year after year, the event captures the pulse of the international flower industry.

IFTF 2025 — where the flower industry’s pulse is strongest

The international flower industry has come together again at Vijfhuizen, Netherlands, for one of the most important flower exhibitions in the world — IFTF (International Floriculture Trade Fair). For three days, producers, distributors, floral designers and technology specialists meet to discover together the newest flowers, trends, technologies and services in the field. Almost 300 exhibitors participate this year, transforming the exhibition space into a true global garden of inspiration.

A world of contrasts and beauty

Although the global economic context remains marked by uncertainties and inflation, flowers continue to retain their power to bring joy and balance. In tense times, their ephemeral beauty becomes a form of escape, a moment of light in an increasingly hurried world.
At IFTF, this beauty takes spectacular forms: new varieties of flowers stand next to timeless classics, and growers and breeders around the world proudly display their creations—hoping to impress existing partners and attract new partners.

Innovation — the central theme of the 2025 event

Beyond the flowers, the event focuses on innovation and sustainability. There is more and more talk about “doing more with less” — a concept that perfectly defines the current direction of horticulture: efficient use of water, reduction of plant protection products, optimisation of work and decrease in fertiliser consumption.
Manufacturers are constantly investing in modern technologies, and packaging and automation specialists are coming up with solutions designed to respond to the labour shortage and the global need for sustainability.

Why it’s worth being there, year after year

For any professional florist, attending IFTF is not just a visit, but a valuable learning experience. It’s the perfect time to:

  • build and maintain connectionswith suppliers, manufacturers and industry peers around the world;
  • take the pulse of the international industry, to see where the trends are heading and what are the directions of development;
  • find inspiration from the innovations presented and bring home new ideas for your business;
  • remember why you chose to work with flowers – a job that combines art, emotion and natural science.
